How to Solve the Employment Problem of College Students.
As more and more students graduated from universities and colleges, youth employment is becoming a problem in our society. Nowadays, many young people are having a hard time finding jobs. They often faced the No experience, no job - no job, no experience dilemma.
To solve the problem of youth employment, I think the government should take some measures to help college students who are finding their jobs. The government should work with the employers and organizations, such as fund them to help those students obtain career information, develop skills, find good jobs and stay employed. In addition, the employers should provide opportunities for students to get their first work experiences and develop their skills and potentials. Whats more, the employers should also provide assistance for those who face barriers to employment and help them to get and keep a job.
Should Graduates Spend Much on Job Hunting?
Nowadays college graduates spend more and more money on job hunting. According to a recent survey, almost every graduate spends some money on finding a job. And clothing, transportation, resumes producing and training expense are the main aspects that cost them a lot of money.
As to this phenomenon, different people bave different views. Some say it is necessary for graduates to spend money on producing embellished resumes and buying suitable clothes, which can give interviewers a good impression and increase their chance of success. However, others don’t think so. They argue that the high expenditure can increase their parents, financial burden since most students have no regular income. Apart from that, the decorated resumes do little help to find a job because most HR managers pay more attention to skills.
In my opinion, there is nothing wrong far graduates to invest some money on job hunting* But they should bear in mind that it is their knowledge, skills as well as experience that matter a lot. So they must have a rational attitude toward what they should buy and how mucb money they should spend.
The picture above vividly describes a funnel-like to show the students form admission to employment. Thousands of students entered the college every year, and most of them pursued the top professional. At the end, only a small part of graduates can get jobs.
The 20th century had not only witnessed the rapid economic development, but also the emergence of crises resulting from economy. A growing number of graduates have come to realize that employment is more and more difficult than the past. Although they chose a top professional in their college career, they still could not attain an ideal job. Just like a funnel, wide entrance, but narrow exit. Of course, it caused by many factors. For example, the development of advanced science and technology cause the decreasing of the employment. And many graduates themselves are lack of the operational capability, and so on.
Therefore, I strongly contend that immediate measures must be adopted to address the quandary. For one thing, government must enhance the awareness that employment is important for the development of our society. For another thing, college students are expected to put what they learned into practice.
Through the study of career planning course, I have learned more about my future development direction. I have to say that as a college student, I am still confused about the career I can engage in in the future. In most cases, I still think about career planning according to my own professional direction. As a matter of fact, my understanding of my major is not deep enough to think about what I should do after graduation. As a matter of fact, it is very important to make a career plan in advance and make good use of the study in college to exercise myself.
I should use my spare time to take part in part-time jobs to train myself. Although I still have a long time to go before finding a job after graduation, I should also make plans in advance so as not to find it difficult to work in an ideal position by then. Besides, many jobs not only require education but also pay attention to the accumulation of work experience. Therefore, I need to accumulate experience and have a general understanding of working life through part-time participation. After all, there will be some pitfalls in both part-time jobs and formal jobs after graduation. I should step into them early and suffer some losses so as to ensure that my future self will not be depressed due to some setbacks. But in the face of social competition, we need to think more realistically.
It is very important to strengthen the study of professional knowledge and make a reasonable arrangement of my campus life. After all, the main responsibility of college students is to do well in learning naturally, and rich theoretical knowledge is also one of the capital in the future job hunting process, but I cant just shout slogans so that I cant recognize the problems in real life. Although I always talk about struggle and dream in the past, but seriously lack of practical experience, so I have to have an accurate understanding of my own ability to avoid the phenomenon of overreaching after graduation in the future. In fact, only down-to-earth to do a good job and toward the set of good goals to hone their own ability.
Although the career planning course made me realize that the career life is not as wonderful as I imagined, I also realized that there are many challenges I need to face in the future, so I need to do a good job in the study of professional knowledge and use my spare time to accumulate practical experience. The most important thing is to form good habits and motivate myself. After all, even a little slack in the process of struggle may lead to their own lagging behind, I dont want to be lazy and other problems during the school contracted a lot of bad habits, and I should also have some understanding of the career I want to engage in and understand how to meet the requirements of the position.
For me, the study of the course has undoubtedly improved my knowledge. While I understand my own shortcomings, I also need to actively improve them. However, since I have understood the importance of career planning, I need to take action as soon as possible.
Nowadays, the problem of college studentsemployment becoming more and moreserious. About a decade ago, university students could find satisfactory and enviable jobs after graduation, while at current situation, about 30% of graduate students can’t find a job but stay at home after graduation.
Employment difficulty of college students is due to the following reasons. Among these, the increasing recruitment of colleges and universities plays a vital role. In addition, many colleges and universities fail to adapt their courses to the development of economy.
Considering such a rough job market, I think it is high time that we took effective measures to solve the problem. Above all, college students should realize their own defects and further improve themselves to keep their competitive edge in society.
Moreover, colleges or universities should provide more trainings and internship opportunities before the students enter the society. Besides, college students should hold a right attitude towards jobs and set their job expectations at a suitable level.
Only through these ways can the college students find a satisfactory job and have a brighter future.
In recent years, college students find it increasingly difficult to get a job. It sounds strange since young college students are usually intelligent, well-educated phenomenon, aspirant and eager to bring their talent into full play. Then what underlies the strange phenomenon?
There are several reasons for this. To begin with, nowadays college students aim too high. All they want are “good” jobs which could offer good salary, comfortable working conditions, high social status among others. Consequently, most college students are unwilling to accept vacant jobs they consider not “good” enough. Another reason is that there is a big gap between the majors some students study in school and the demands of vacant jobs. So companies think some students are not fit for the jobs.
Solution to the problem requires efforts on both the society and the students. The companies should value the students, talent and knowledge while the latter should not merely aim at material gains. They should be down-to–earth in building up their career. Furthermore, they should face their weak points so as to improve themselves and be more competent.
One of the most important problems a young person faces is deciding what to do. There are some people, of course, who from the time they are six years old “know” that they want to be doctors or pilots or fire fighters, but the majority of us do not get around to making a decision about an occupation or career until somebody or something forces us to face the problem.
Choosing an occupation takes time, and there are a lot of things you have to think about as you try to decide what you would like to do. You may find that you will have to take special courses to qualify for a particular kind of work, or you may find out that you will need to get actual work experience to gain enough knowledge to qualify for a particular job.
Fortunately, there are a lot of people you can turn to for advice and help in making your decision. At most schools, there are teachers who are professionally qualified to give you detailed information about job qualifications. And you can talk over your ideas with family members and friends who are always ready to listen and to offer suggestions.
Most college graduates face an increasingly tough job market. Most of them have difficulty finding jobs in big cities like Beijing and Shanghai. As a result, these priority areas attract a large number of job seekers each year. No matter where they start their careers, some people prioritize expected high-paying positions.
The gender gap in job hunting is striking. To avoid labor-intensive jobs, girls focus on finance and service industries. Some of them get jobs in schools. Boys are always trying to find a managerial or technical job.
Everyone wants to take up a promising career to show their skills and abilities. But the position is not tailored to every applicant. Therefore, college graduates must lower their excessive expectations and apply for proper jobs.
During the New Year, I heard many relatives talking about their childrens current situation. The ones who are still in school get scholarships or something. What kind of benefits or promotions or raises are available at the job you have joined? Life seems to be so light cloud breeze, comfortable.
At New Years, its an accepted and unwritten rule that you should only talk about good things and not bad things. It was just awkward when I heard my relatives talk about themselves and ask about me. My achievement because of their own reasons, can not be said to be terrible, can only say unspeakable. In order to spur me on, my parents still put the score sheet in front of the desk in my room.
When it comes to career planning, I am even more at a loss. Because now I can only do math problems, write a few essays. Other than that, I had no idea what I liked, or what I was good at. Although I also know that in many cases, you can not do what you want to do, what kind of work. And who is not a step by step, listen to the fate of the arrangement.
Although the parents say it is OK, get by. In fact, relatives also heard, they are not too much entangled in this issue.
But every time at this time, my heart, can not help but touch. Inadvertently thinking, if, if at the beginning not so lazy, not so complacent, maybe it is a different situation.
On the way back to the car, my mother took my hand and saw the loss and discomfort in my heart. She showed a rare gentle, soft comfort to me. And I know Ive been a disgrace to them. Its still the one thing Ive never forgotten so far.
Everybody has his or her dream and career. Different person has different ideas in choosing their career. For me, to be a teacher is my ideal career.
Because when I was still a little child in the primary school,I found it was so great to be a teacher. And my grandpa and grandma are all teacher. In my heart i think teacher can teach students various of knowledges, not only teach them how to be good at study, but also how to be a good person. A good teacher can lead his students onto the right road, avoiding makeing mistakes. Whats more, to be a teacher could contribute a lot both to their students and to the society. It is so wonderful . Now i am a college student , after graduated from school , i have to find a job, start my career,if i become a teacher,on the one hand ,i can live in campus to share many things with my students,on the other hand ,the pay of this career is well.
A teacher is the model of his students. A teacher will always love her students as same as her children. To be a teacher should be fun but challenging. So i must study hand to learn a lot of knowledge and learn how to get on well with others. If i have chance one day, i will choose teacher as my career.
As is known to all, many famous people have high IQ such as Albert Einstein, a thinking machine, who was considered as the greatest scientist of the 20th century. Does high IQ play an important part in one’s career? The answer is yes. However, with the development of our society, more and more studies show that EQ counts more than IQ in career.
believe it or not, there are several reasons. In the beginning, IQ means cleverness and intelligence, and EQ stands for an ability of judging, dealing, adapting and so on. Furthermore, IQ represents rational while EQ is in the name of emotional. The latter one helps you get well along with other people by a positive way, which is more significant to your success. At last, high IQ just gets more knowledge and skills, but high EQ gains people’s respect, understanding and support.
In a word, EQ counts more than IQ in career. Please remember to improve your EQ if you are high in IQ.
Want to be a small fish in a big pond or the other way round? Every graduate faces this question when he starts hiscareer. A large number of college graduates prefer to stay in the big cities. To them, staying in big cities means more opportunities to see the big world and more space for career development. At the same time, higher salary is another temptation. But some other graduates want to start in small towns. Even though there may not be many big companies, they can have a quieter and less
competitive life. Another reason is that they can be a big fish in a small pond. They can easily get the management’s attention and may win promotion earlier. As far as I am concerned, I prefer to start in a metropolis like Shanghai. A good begin is half the battle, and in Shanghai I can find a job in a big company where I can meet people from different places and cultures. I will learn from them what I can not get from textbooks. In conclusion, making a career plan depends on one’s value in life and work. No matter which choice one choose, hopefully everyone will have a bright future.

Just enter the school at the University, with a lot of hopes and illusions, it will also be full of confusion. I think I should do T-shaped professionals. Out of college, and strive to win the community the opportunity to practice. More respect, to find really suitable for their own.
Talking about career,Ive been planning since my first year in the university.
I always knew that I wanted to apply for english-related jobs.My dream career is an english interpreter. And I want to be an english teacher after I quit the interpreting job.I dont just want to be confined by one job.Changing my career once or twice,I can acquire different experience and enrich my life.As part of my career planning I made a strict schedule for myself to keep to.In my first year in university,I extended my vocabulary and learned grammar very hard.I knew that I should have a thorough grounding in english if I wanted to use it fluently in the future, especially if I wanted to translate freely. In grade two,I began to apply for some part-time interpreting jobs.I knew that I should gain enough work experience,so as to win in the exceedingly competitive job market.
Moreover,I got to know more foreigners, who would help me a lot with my future job.Now In grade three,I begin to send my CV to foreign-owned companies for internship.I clearly know that it is too late if I send CV to apply for jobs when graduation is close-at-hand.In grade four,if the company where I have the internship is content with me,I would stay there after graduating from the university. If not,I would send CVs to other companies. After earning enough money and acquiring enough experience,I would change my career into an english teacher.Being a teacher I would have more spare time to be at my disposal. With my good mastering of english I think I am qualified for an english teacher. As for the teaching skills,I would certainly attend some good teachers classes to learn from them.I would also communicate with the students to get to know what they are thinking and what they really need.During the years as a teacher,I would teach the students my own way of english learning, show the outside world to them, and introduce new ideas to them,so as to broaden their horizons.
Recent years have witnessed a sharp rise in the number of college students who successfully start their career after graduation. However, many others fail to do so because the transition from a student to an employee is actually full of challenges.
First of all, you might not be popular with every colleague, which is frustrating for a newcomer of the workplace. So youd better try to make a good first impression on all of your workmates, especially your boss. Furthermore, there probably is a gap between what youve learned at school and what you are required at work. You have to learn actively and quickly, and avoid making too many mistakes. Finally, the low payment for a new graduate and various living expenses make it difficult to make ends meet, so you may find yourself always on a tight budget.
As the old proverb goes, "Well begun is half done." If you can handle these challenges successfully after graduation, you will clear the path for future career development, such as job promotion or starting your own business. So hold on and never give up!
New graduates oftentimes face the dilemma between a high salary and career development. It is usually the case that ones dream job cannot bring adequate monetary rewards. Should one opt for career development or an immediate high salary? Personally, I would give priority to career development.
Admittedly, a high salary is an effective incentive to entice graduates who often are in great need or eager to make money. After all, remuneration is such a crucial factor when it comes to job hunting. It is undeniable that human beings are often restrained by their short-sightedness. What seems to be sufficiently rewarding at the moment may lose its advantage in the future. Authoritative statistics have illustrated that employees who choose salary over their real interests tend to be dissatisfied with their jobs despite the extra money they can earn. In addition, strategic planning regarding ones career may not yield any immediate reward. In fact, many people have to forgo some present day rewards in pursuit of their dream careers. However, in the long run, all the efforts and planning will pay off. Career development helps new graduates find their bearings and invest in their future. Finally, one is more likely to feel content by working in ones element and attaining some achievement.
In conclusion, a focus on career development rather than an initial financial gain will improve employee job satisfaction now and in the future.
Before students go to college, they need to make a great decision. It is to choose the major, which is considered to decide their future career. But according to the research, a lot of people work on something that is not related to their majors. It seems that there is no need to pay much attention to study, while it is not true.
No matter what kind of major we choose, it is our duty to keep on study. The purpose we study all the time is to practice the way we think. The personality distinguishes a wise man and an ordinary person. A wise man can handle his emotion well and live an easy life. The way he talks can always attract people around him.
We don’t know if the major we learn will be our future career, but somehow we are equipped with some skills, which will be great help in solving problems. As the saying that what we learn today will decides who we are in the future. So it is necessary to study major well and never give up on study.
One of the most important problems a young person faces is deciding what to do
Choosing an occupation takes time, and there are a lot of things you have to think about as you try to decide what you would like to do
Fortunately, there are a lot of people you can turn to for advice and help in making your decision And you can talk over your ideas with family members and friends who are always ready to listen and to offer suggestions.
It is very important to choose a right career. A right choice usually leads to success and happiness, while a wrong one often brings about failure and disappointment. Therefore, we must get ourselves well prepared so that a right choice can be made when needed.
If I am to choose a career, my principles are as follows. First of all, it should be a real service to my fellowmen and not merely enable me to earn a living. Seondly, it should offer scope for creativity and imagination because I want to live a rich or meaningful life. Finally, it should provide me with opportunities and challenges, engaging my in terest and allowing me to develop my abilities.
There are many professions for me to choose from: teaching, newspaper work, research on social science and so on. Among them, the work of a reporter may suit me most, because it is an exciting job and is full of challenges.
The first job is of great importance for a person, because it frequently decides one’s future career. Most parents want their children to work for the government, while the young people trend to start business on their own. Both options have advantages and disadvantages.
Working for the government seems to be permanent and stable. So many graduates choose to take part in the national exam, for the purpose of being a public servant. But it is the stability that makes the young people feel bored and like wasting their time on the repeating work.
As the government advocates the young generation to self-employed, many graduates join the team. They want to develop their talent and follow their hearts. And it takes a long time for them to get great return. When they see their fellows buy house and cars, they will be easy to feel frustrated. Starting business is not always a simple thing.
In my opinion, the career we choose must be passionate. We need to do it for more than 30 years, so the interest comes first, or we will be like a walking dead.
A recent survey shows that some people prefer the higher-paying job even though it requests a longer hours than those low-paying job, especially among the young. They consider that they should spare no effort to earn money and improve their life standard when they are still young.
However, others hold diverse view that they would rather choose lower-paying jobs and earn less money than do longer hours jobs. What they consider is that they should accompany their family and friends as much as possible even though they are busy. Moreover, they think they need to enjoy their lives while they are making their living, in that life is limited and money is not everything.
If I had a chance to choose my job, I would be inclined to choose the latter one. In my opinion, many things are more important than money even though money can solve many problems, such as our family, affection and friendship. In addition, we also need to take our personal preference and conditions into consideration when choosing jobs. Only in this way can we real enjoy our jobs.
When students graduate from college, most of them choose to start their career. In general opinion, a college student should work on something that is related to their major, if not, what they learn is believed to be wasted. In my opinion, everyone has their right to choose what they want to do, regardless of other’s criticism.
Recently, it has been reported that a student who graduated from first class university worked as a deliver guy. A lot of people felt pity for him, because they believed that this guy deserved a noble job, such as sitting in the office. While some people objected, they thought that every job was equal. There was no rule for people to decide what kind of job they should work on.
I believe that we should respect young people’s choice. The job they work on doesn’t mean they must use their major knowledge. The meaning of receiving education is to teach us to be a better person. Even though we choose to be a farmer, we are the different farmers, because we have better skill and more polite.
At that time, we had a lot of hobbies. Some people like singing, some people like dancing, some people like painting. It seems that we always have a very big vision and a very grand goal, and we always think that we can do whatever it is. We will find that there is a certain level between imagination and reality. Maybe we thought very good when we were young, but as we grow older, we will find that it is not so easy to achieve our childhood goals. We need to pay a lot of efforts and even need talent. I remember when we were young, we always liked to play the game of teachers and classmates. At that time, we wanted to be a teacher very much and thought teaching and educating people was a very interesting thing. However, when we grow up, we will find that teachers also have a lot of hard work and unexplicable fatigue. No matter which occupation will encounter more or less difficulties, there will be certain setbacks and do not want to face things in this field, so when we grow bigger, we will put the eyes more realistic, and will not imagine our future career.
After all, we may need our parents to feed us in the first 20 years of our life in this world. We dont need to make money, but our parents will get old and they will need us to take care of them. Material materials are the basis of human survival and moral education development. You have to get a job, you have to get a living wage, so that you can use it to meet the needs of all the things in life. There are many people who order jobs from childhood and later career is different, because people are forced to reality, we may need to change many jobs in life, a person from the beginning to the end of the occupation, it is impossible, because we always have to explore their own life path, to explore which job is suitable for their own. That is what we like the job, if we have been engaged in a very intense and dont like the job, then one day will break out, will want to quit to engage in another industry, that is the so-called job-hopping.
Heaven people can from the beginning to think about what to do, so that life is this career, most people are to find their own career in the process of self-exploration and exploration, we do their own career planning, can also think about what you are good at, or what you want to do, because if you want to do this thing will have more power to complete, If you dont like something and feel compelled to do everything, you wont have the initiative to complete it, and your efficiency wont be as high.
It is important to have a good career plan, because we should set a goal for ourselves from the beginning, and then gradually achieve it, all things can not be achieved overnight.
Its important to plan your career in advance. Although we havent officially entered the workplace yet, its also important to think about what you want to do in the future. In my opinion, I think the first condition for choosing a career is your interest. You can imagine, if you dont like a thing, but you need to do it every day, and it is not only accompanied by your student career, but also accompanied by your career, and even the rest of your life, this is actually a relatively painful thing. So as far as I am concerned, I think when choosing a career, I should choose what I like, so that doing what I like every day will make me happier and happier.
Another very important criterion for choosing a career is whether you are good at it. If you have no ability or talent for something and dont want to learn it, it is impossible to just think that you like it. If a person is good at something and has no talent in it, then his efforts may be less than others. And if he puts in the same amount of effort as others, then he will be better than others. But after we decide how to plan our career, we should also know how to prepare for our career. When we choose a career, we should try our best to improve our abilities in some aspects to match with it. In my opinion, another important point in career planning is the advancement of this career in the future. This point is very realistic, but also very reasonable, because if you like a thing very much, but it is almost no way out, then this career is not easy to engage in and make money, but people living in the world without making money is not possible. So when you choose yourself, you should choose a promising career, at least not one that has no prospects. When doing career planning, we must pay attention to these three points, and after doing this word, we should also strive for our goals. It is not that we do not need to work hard to do career planning. It is like a person has a dream, but does not realize it. Everyone has a dream, but not many people realize it, which needs to test whether people have perseverance, perseverance and unremitting efforts for their own goals. If I want to pull up a chip in the workplace and be better than others, I need to pay more efforts.
After making a good career plan, we must strive to achieve our goals and improve our strength, especially during the period of university, during which there are many places to spend our time, we can make good use of this time to improve our ability in some aspects, and our resumes will look better in the future, and we can also be admitted by better units. In addition to enriching your resume, you can also improve your ability in one aspect, which will be useful in the future career.
In fact, everyone needs to start early to make their own career planning. Maybe some people think that they are still students, leaving the field is still very far away, do not need to consider the issue of career, but in fact, it is not. Everyone may know what they are good at and have their own hobbies. In fact, we can cultivate more of these things in the process of growing up, so that it can become our career. For example, if you want to like painting, you can choose to be an art student in high school, so that you can choose to major in painting in university. However, you can also engage in painting and art related fields in your future career, so that you can develop with your favorite things for a lifetime. And when we have a career planning, career above some things, we will slowly understand, will know what you need to cultivate skills, in the real before entering the workplace, good to all aspects of their own development to let themselves better foothold in the workplace and achieve better performance.
First of all, career planning should not be too common, we all have to go high, although our goals should not be set too high, but also can not set too low, if you think that your career is to be a cleaner or a farmer, then I think you still have to think carefully, because these skills are easy to be replaced by people. If your job is very fungible, then you will have great uncertainty in this position, it is easy to be replaced by others, the present occupation will be low salary in the future society, can not have good treatment. We can plan our career direction according to our preferences and characteristics. If you like to communicate with people and teach people, you can choose to become a teacher. If you like singing, you can develop your professional ability to become a musician or a producer, or a tuner, etc. If you like photography, you can buy a camera and take pictures of your favorite pictures every day. So you can be a photographer. If you love dancing, learn to dance from a young age, so that in the near future, you may become a dancer or a dance teacher.
Our career plan should not be too high, so that we will have a sense of unreachable and unattainable, and then let us lose confidence, so for their goals do not not fit their abilities. For example, a person with poor grades in junior high school and high school, and no sense of responsibility or teamwork, but he wants to be president or prime minister, which is unrealistic. For example, a person has no talent in singing or painting, and he does not want to practice hard. To want to be a painter or a musician is not realistic.
All they want are "good" jobs which could offer good salary, comfortable working conditions, high social status among others. Consequently, most college students are unwilling to accept vacant jobs they consider not "good" enough.
The rapid development of the Internet gives rise to the phenomenon of applying for jobs online. It is commonplace to submit ones resume and recommendation letters via the Internet and a large number of graduates are employed via online tests. I would like to focus on one major advantage which is that job hunting becomes more efficient when it is done online.
One of the pronounced advantages of online job hunting is that it is more efficient since potential candidates do not have to travel to other cities where the job is. The rise of online interviews provides even more convenience both for the employees and the employers. Furthermore, graduates can get access to considerably more information online since there are a number of websites dedicated to job hunting. The Internet has rendered the whole process more effective and efficient. Graduates can select several categories and narrow down their options. In a way, the Internet serves as a gigantic database and matches graduates with their potential employers. However, it is undeniable that an online interview can only reflect some aspects of a candidate. I believe that in order to gauge a persons potential and aptitude face-to-face interview is imperative.
In conclusion, the efficiency and effectiveness of the Internet for job seekers is a huge advantage which is reflected in the growing number of positions available online.
More and more college students, in recent years, are finding it difficult to find jobs. This may sound strange since college students used to be the "most favored" people in society. They have received ahigher education, hence they are more intelligent, knowledgeable than their counterparts who failed to attendcollege. But chances are that some of themcan hardly find jobs after graduatingfromcolleges.
There are two reasons that account for this strange phenomenon. One is that some college studentscannot come to terms with themselves and with the world around them. They pursue too high goals and are too particular about such factors as working conditions, salary, and so on. Therefore, they are reluctant to accept the job when they are offered to them. Another reason is that the majors some students pursue do not match with the demands of the job market. As a result, they canonly sit and miss opportunities.
To solve this problem, I think college students should know their own strengths and weaknesses and have the right attitude towards themselves and the job vacancies. In addition, they should not attach too much importance to material aspects of the job. They should put priority to their future development and their contributions to society in stead. Furthermore, they should think of receiving some further training to meet the demands of society.
The Reasons for the difficulties in College Graduates Job-hunting
Nowadays, with the increasing number of college graduates emerging in the society, a harsh reality was placed in front ofthem. This is the difficulties of job-hunting. Some of them even Have been in self-mockery that the moment they are graduated, they are unemployed. An excellent college student should have found a satisfactory job with a considerable income, but why are there still numerous students who who are out of work. Peoples view vary. And there three factors accounting for the phenomenon: the deficiency of educational system, the incompetence of the graduates, and the high standard of employer.
Perhaps one of the most common cause is the college students themselves. That is to say they are not competent. Although, they have pursued the further education, they havent studied hard enough at all when they were on campuses. They are always wasting their precious time hanging out, playing computer, and sleeping in their warm bed, however, all these are meaningless to their future job. Whats worse, skipping classes become their often cases, and, as a result, nothing have they learned when its the time to compete in the recruitment fair. So, the jobless should introspect themselves why they can not reach the certain standard that the society need.
Besides the incompetence of the students, another contributing factor is the employers high standard. The company often demand too much from the competitor. For instance, the bosses hire the experienced while they candidates have graduated from the college and never do they have time to practice and gain experience. Some vacancies even only serves for the postgraduate, but a college graduate is competent enough.
Last but not least, the Chinese education system may be ignored but, actually, its one of the primary cause. The Chinese education have arranged what the college should pursue instead of giving them choices. Just as a survey indicates there are 45% of the graduates present jobs are not related to their majors, and only 15% of their knowledge could be adopted to their job-hunting. Thus the most of them knowledge is of no use for the future work, and also the students are not interested at all but they are still forced to take the such courses. Its tragedy, isnt it?
Taking all the above into consideration, difficulties of job-hunting are not only the problem of the graduates, bur also the cause of the demanding boss and the deficiency of education system. All the them should spare no efforts to handle it.
Why is it difficult for college students to find a job?
It is said more than one million Chinese college students graduated without jobs last year. The situation this year probably is worse than that in the last year, because there are more students who will graduate. Now the job markets everywhere all are very crowded, but only a few percentage of the students can find a job there. On the other hand, many students choose to take part in entrance test for graduated students. In fact graduate studying just is a buffer for employment. Graduate students also confront a problem of employment. What cause the employment difficulty of the college students on earth? I think there are at least four main reasons that we cant ignore.
First, the most direct reason is that the increase in the number of college students. In order to impulse the development of economy, our education has been industrialized by the government. In this case, the colleges and universities try their best to enlarge the number of students. Because the more students means the more profit. However, the speed of society development is slower than the speed of the increase of graduated students. The society cant provide enough job positions and that cause a large number of surplus students in the job market.
Second, the bad quality of our education causes that college students dont have enough competition ability in the society. Today, our higher education usually pays too much attention to the theory and basic knowledge and dont pay enough attention to the practical technique ability. We often can find a student who doesnt have a practical ability after 4 years studying in the college or university. Certainly it is difficult for such a student to find a job. On the other hand, with the increase of students drastically, almost in every college and university, the conditions of teaching, including the quantity and quality of teachers and the facility of teaching, arent developed in a match speed so that that cant meet the requirement of the student. Under this situation, the quality of teaching must be very bad. As a result, many college students usually don’t have any competition in the job market.
Third, todays students always pursue their own material interest. They always want to have a good job in a good company or government department, in a good city and with a good salary. This also causes the drastic competition in the big cities job market. However, in the vast countryside and small cities, there are many vacant positions that students dont want to accept. This is a social problem also is an educational problem. On the one hand, the whole social atmosphere that money and comfort have been the only pursue of everybody has affected the student largely. On the other hand, the education doesnt make an effective guide. Today, in every school, politics and philosophy courses always are the least important courses, except in the politics and philosophy department. Therefore most students dont have a lofty worldview. They just follow the mainstream of the society and they always think over their own interests in finding jobs. So students always feel they cant find a content job.
Finally, the social unfairness causes the bad situation in the job market. On the one hand, there are many surplus graduate students, but on the other hand, many companies and enterprises often refuse to accept new employees, even though they do need some employees. They usually think of their own interests and are afraid that the new employees can threaten their positions. In many monopoly industries and government departments, the phenomenon is rather grave. Many people there are not eligible but they occupy the positions and new employees cant replace them. As a result, many monopoly industries and government departments increasingly cant keep up with the step of society. That also causes a large waste and lost of excellent persons with ability.
To sum up, the educational industrialization and bad quality and the social unfairness cause the grave employment problem of college students. The government must take effective measures to solve the problem. I think now improving education quality and banning the education industrialization are the most urgent and important things. At the same time, the government and schools should enact new policies to encourage students to go to the undeveloped areas and to carve careers by themselves.
Its very hard for college graduates to find a job, of course harder to get an ideal job. In fact, many factors contribute to the unfavorable situation.
First, more and more students can go to college because of the being fast improved high education of China. As a result, there are more graduates every year. However, job vacancies don’t increase that fast. More people, less food, which is the exact description of the hard condition. Second, more and more people go on to pursue their master and doctor degree; more and more Chinese oversea students come back to China to hunt better working chances. It is sure that the competition is more and more fierce. Third, because of the fast development of science, technology, economy, society and the interchange of different nations, all units have higher requirement of their employees, for example, stronger ability and higher degree.
In addition to the factors above, there are still more which bring hardship for graduates to find jobs. Nevertheless, how to solve the problem is more important. It is a good idea for the graduates to learn more knowledge with a higher degree and to practice and improve their capability of dealing with all kinds of situation, organization, having good terms with others and cooperative spirit. Besides, the government should try to and encourage all units to create more job vacancies for the college graduates. Of course, the graduates should have a proper attitude towards various jobs, but not always pursue those with higher payment.
In recent years, college students find it more and more difficult to find a job. This sounds strange, because young college students are usually smart, well-educated, and eager to give full play to their talents. So what is the reason for this strange phenomenon?
First of all, the goal of college students is too high. What they want is a good job that can provide high wages, comfortable working conditions and high social status. Most college students are not willing to accept the vacancies they think are not good. Another reason is that there is a big gap between the majors that some students study in school and the demand for vacant positions. The company thinks some students are not suitable for the job. To solve this problem requires the efforts of both the society and the students. Enterprises should attach importance to students, talents and knowledge.Knowledge should not only stay on the material, but also do a good job in their own career on a down-to-earth manner. They should face up to their shortcomings and improve their abilities.
Nowadays, the problem of college students employment becoming more and more serious.
Todays college students face choices unheard of years ago. Terms like two way selection, self-employment are not new to them. Many students swarm into job market or look every talent fair for potential employers. The concept of selling oneself rather than hiding oneself is well accepted by students. Hunting a job is no small matter. Instead, it is probably one of the most, if not the most, important decisions any of would-be graduates can make in a lifetime. Therefore, they are very serious and cautious when that time comes. It is something that the society has taught them. As the job market gets shrinking, it has also become a must for undergraduates to work harder than before to keep their competitive edge . More students are engaged in their studies with no distractions . They are investing today for a promising tomorrow.
College students difficult employment is both the subjective reason, also has the objective cause, sum up, there are several factors affecting the college students employment, narrow the rational flow of talent to prevent college students diminishes their chances of employment. The reporter understands in an interview some of the colleges and universities in hebei province, some places in order to retain talent, do not allow the water into the stay, to limit outside to the local employment for college students, college students job losses. The students of medical college students in hebei university of science and technology, told reporters he contact with several large pharmaceutical production enterprises in shandong province, there are two companies are willing to receive, but due to the province index limits, he cant to shandong pharmaceutical factory jobs, are still not to carry out the work unit. Some university teachers told reporters that it is good to retain talent and recruit talent in some places, but it is not appropriate to restrict the flow. They hope that the government will not limit the employment of college students, but should focus on the employment service for college students.
The high expectation of employment has caused many college students to miss out on employment opportunities. College students hope to be able to were employed to treatment, good working environment, this itself is understandable, but some college students cannot correct view of oneself and have high expectations for employment is somewhat impractical. Wang yuesen, deputy secretary of the party committee of shijiazhuang railway academy, said that college students should not blindly improve their employment goals, but should be based on their own work.
In addition, college students are reluctant to leave their hometown for employment, not willing to go to the primary employment and other factors, also affected some college students timely employment. Both the relevant aspects and the college students themselves should face up to the current difficulties in the employment of college students and try to eliminate the obstacles that are not conducive to the employment of college students.
The failure of college students to find ideal jobs has always been a major concern of people. Some people say that college students lack social experience and most companies are unwilling to hire graduates without practical experience. Others hold that almost all graduates believe that they should get a higher salary than they are capable of. In my opinion, I think students should pay attention to enriching their social experience by doing some basic work instead of blindly expecting a high salary. Most students are unwilling to do the most basic work at the beginning, but for graduates, Lack of experience is a rather important reality, most graduates think that basic work can neither bring them money nor benefits, so they dont choose to do it, most students just miss the chance to be a potential person in a certain field.
Second, most companies are too strict on graduates, some companies think that students without practical work experience do not meet the needs of the job, so the first time rejected, some companies put forward strict requirements for students, such as a certain height, male or female, graduated from a national famous university, obtain a certain certificate, etc., these companies should have these conditions for students. Anyone can be a genius in a certain field, so these companies may miss some talents. Third, China is a big country with a large population, which leads to quite fierce competition among students, the limited job demand and a large number of students flooding into the job market at the same time will increase the unemployment rate of students.
All in all, not only is the ability of students to find a job with a higher salary limited, but also the social environment aggravates the difficulty of finding an ideal job. Graduates should not only focus on improving their ability to deal with things, but also learn to adjust their vision and find new opportunities to live a better life.
Whats your favoured job after your graduation? Whats your career planafter working in a company? Both of the questions are related with universitystudents seeking jobs problems. Its very tough when confront with thosequestions. As a junior/senior student,I would love to say something asfollowing:
A part of students are aim too high. They always want to find easy andcomfortable jobs with high salary. But, they neglect they are just undergraduateswho lack of real experience in a company. Aim too high but lack of realexperience leads them to be frustrated:they cant find their suitable jobs andare not interested low-salary jobs. Its a real situation in our currentsociety. The best solution is that our undergraduates should change their minds. The new minds is that to be capable before getting high salary.
There is also a issue should be pay attention to. Some advertisementssay:"Only men available". Thats gender discrimination which couldnt be occuredin the modern society. With the development of our society, our women s abilityare also enhancing. Some women even can do some jobs which men couldnt do well.It not easy to solve the gender discrimination. It needs our governments help, our government should do some propaganda about gender eq equal and make somerules for the companies.
When we read newspapers, our attention is always attracted by increasing unemployment rate in young graduates who are leaving college. In my opinion, there are many causes for this disquieting phenomenon and we should try to solve the problem.
Most companies would rather employ a low-educational specialized worker than a this-years graduate from a well-known university. For companies, they are more likely to choose the candidates with rich working experience. Apparently enough, the training for young graduates usually costs them a large quantity of time and money. In addition, the current education system brings on a lot of bookworms who are adept in theoretical but not practical knowledge. Therefore, it is hard for those graduates to complete the practical assignments successfully and smoothly. This is one major reason why many graduates find it to find suitable jobs.
An un-mandatory retirement age is another factor leading to the youth unemployment for college graduates. Along with the improving of working efficiency, proficient employees with rich and extensive working experience get retired at a much later age. In this case, for young graduates, there are fewer chances to get access to the jobs taken up by the older and more experienced.
With the competition in the job market becoming increasingly fierce for college graduates, some ambitious students have tried their hands at launching their own businesses. Over the years, there have been many successful cases of student entrepreneurship and such attempts should be encouraged and promoted by both the universities and the society at large.
College students who start businesses are pioneers, among whom will be born China’s future business leaders. Faced with unknown challenges, they are audacious enough to embark on a perilous journey while most of their peers enjoy stable salaries by working as white-collars at high-end office buildings. Nevertheless, they are the masters of their own destiny and, exposed to many more uncertainties and setbacks, they develop perseverance, stamina and the indomitable spirit that are indispensible to all the great entrepreneurs. Even if they fail, they are not down; they keep exploring for new business opportunities and work tirelessly until they succeed. As people of vision, of individual initiative, of leadership, and of creativity and innovation, they represent the future and the hope of a nation.
Not all college graduates are suitable for undertaking entrepreneurial projects. To launch a business, one needs to have a sound business idea, a viable business plan, the charisma to create a cohesive team where members make concerted efforts for a common objective, effective managerial skills, and above all, the courage to compete against powerful rivals and ultimately to prevail. The essential difference between the students who become civic servants in government organizations or employees at leading domestic or multinational companies and those who create their own businesses is that the former are docile followers whereas the latter are aggressive trailblazers. For this reason, business-launching college graduates are more admirable, and thus they command our deep respect.
The Challenges of Starting a Career after Graduation
Facing the rising employment pressure, a host of college graduates choose to start a career instead of looking for a regular job in a company. As we all know that, starting a career is beneficial to realize one’s own dreams and value. However, it is also widely acknowledged that stating a career will be inevitably confronted with numerous challenges.
When it comes to the challenges that we may meet in the process of staring a career, the main ones can be listed as follows. First of all, as freshmen who have just entered into the society, it is obvious that college graduates lack related experience, which will increase the rate of failure they may encounter during starting a career. Being short of entrepreneurial experience is one of difficulties that college graduates need to overcome. In addition, the collection of money is another problem they should solve urgently. Otherwise, there is no possibility of starting a career.
Although starting a career after graduation has so many challenges to be solved, college graduates still need take a positive attitude towards it. Moreover, prudent consideration and entrepreneurial spirit are also necessary for graduates to start a career.
As we know, China now has more and more laid-off workers, which is mainly due to the rapid changes of economic reform. They are old and young, men and women, and even some well-educated graduates. Whats more, as more and more workers are laid off, a lot of social problems have arisen.
Therefore, the re-employment of laid-off workers has become one of the hot issues, which has aroused the great attention of governments at all levels. Some solutions have been proposed. First, retraining programs should be organized to help laid-off workers learn new skills and help them keep up with the changing society. In addition, our government should take some necessary measures to create more new job opportunities for these people. Finally, colleges and universities should reform their courses to adapt to the development of the economy so as to provide qualified students to meet the needs of society.
In my opinion, solving the problem of the re-employment of laid-off workers requires the efforts of the whole society, including our government, the laid-off workers themselves and all those who are willing to help, in addition, laid-off workers, especially well-educated graduates, should lower their standards before looking for satisfactory jobs.
